Austen's Newborn Portraits

I have never had a newborn that hated hats and didn't want to be naked, lol. Austen wanted nothing to do with the cute hats I had for him and every time we unswaddled him he would cry, he loved to be swaddled. So after trying a bunch of different tricks we decided to just keep him swaddled and he was so happy the rest of the session. He even gave us a couple of his cute dimpled smiles. Soooo adorable! I do have to say that Austen is one lucky baby, he has some wonderful parents who love him to pieces.

Here's Austen's preview for his new fan club:

There is a little story behind the cowboy hat,
I hope Austen's mommy doesn't mind that I share it.
It will tug at your heartstrings.
Austen never got the chance to meet his grandpa. His grandpa passed away a year ago from cancer, he was an amazing man (I had the opportunity to have him as a softball coach when I was young). He was very friendly, and had a wonderfully infectious smile (I think that's where his daughters get it from) :)
Austen's mommy wanted to take his picture with her daddy's hat. I thought this was a wonderful idea, and a great way to honor her father.
Thank you for letting me capture this precious memory for you.

I am sitting here crying too. Uncle Rick would have loved this little man so much. The pictures are just adorable and he is lucky to have great parents.
